Do you go into analysis paralysis with improving your health? I’m fully guilty of over analyzing something to death. I’ll make a spreadsheet and start comparing features and it becomes overkill and it becomes more procrastination than analysis. It might be similar for you when it comes to your health.

With certain aspects of your health, especially if you’re making a major decision regarding a medical procedure or major surgery. Then “Yes,” absolutely do your due diligence, research, find out the pros or the cons, learn what is going to be the best option for you.

However many other times you just need to put the ice cream down, get off the couch, and go for a walk. Let’s call it out. A lot of times people will go over think it, they’re figuring out all the details of the “What’s the workout program I need to do? What diet is going work? What can I do? What can I eat? What am I going to like to do? What can I figure out?” There is a time and place for this, yet most of the time it’s simply procrastination.

The biggest thing to do is pay attention to what you eat, cut out a lot of sweet treats, get rid of the processed food, eat whole foods. And do some exercise, go for a walk, do some pushups, do some squats, keep it very simple. I’m big on simple baby steps. Don’t overthink it, don’t make it too complicated.

Take some simple baby steps and just start. Make some better food choices; you know enough not eat a lot of junk food, cut those out; eat whole foods and drink plenty of water. Get some exercise by starting with at least going for a walk. You want to do more than just walking, then do some research without overdoing it, perhaps talk to a coach, find out what will work in your life, and go from there.

Don’t overanalyze and get into analysis paralysis, which I’m fully guilty of, which then leads to procrastinating on the changes you really want to make with your health. Keep it simple, take the baby steps that you already know how to do, then slowly add more. There’s a lot of info out there, and you’re in the right place to get started.
