About Me

David R. Almo, MA, CMT, CTNC, ESMT

Passionate About Inspiring Others.

During his early years in school, David displayed a strong interest in the study of the human body. And in Junior High when he was introduced to weight training and fitness through a Physical Education class. These experiences shaped his future and led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology at California State University, Chico.

David continued his education at Chico State, deepening his knowledge of the human body through his studies of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology and earned a Master of Arts degree. During this time, he taught Exercise Physiology Labs, participated in research projects, and served as a peer advisor.

Encouraged by a friend and with the planets aligning, he explored his long-standing interest in massage therapy and took his first class. This marked the beginning of his journey into the world of healing arts. His prior education in anatomy and physiology allowed him to bring a unique perspective to his massage sessions and the classes he taught.

During his Level 1 training, David had the opportunity to witness a demonstration of equine massage on a horse named Wynn Sara (who was due to give birth the following month). This left a lasting impression on him but was unable to take the class at that time. Nevertheless, many years later, David became certified as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist.

He also started exploring and incorporating energy work into his practice. He studied various techniques and discovered that he had a natural affinity for this type of work, even though he had not been consciously aware of it previously.

Utilizing his education, David spent several years teaching Health & Wellness at Butte Community College, where he continued to deepen his knowledge of the human body.

In 2006, he started traveling to horse shows in California, offering his unique blend of education, coaching, energy work, massage techniques, and stretching to riders and horses.

In 2018 David was diagnosed with tumor in his sinus, and it initially triggered suicidal thoughts. He went through a whirlwind three weeks, which included a biopsy with complications that landed him in the ICU, a cancer diagnosis, and a lengthy 8-hour surgery. Despite these challenges, he managed to remain balanced and maintain his health and well-being, handled it all rather easily with grace and ease. Through his experience, David realized the importance of Balancing the Triad of Body, Mind, & Spirit and felt a responsibility to share his insights and lessons with others.

To help share his message, David became a Certified Transformation Nutrition Coach from the Institute for Transformation Nutrition. He also received specialized training to become a Certified Life Coach.

He now focuses on guiding individuals over 50 to create their own plan for health and wellness freedom through personal growth by working on their Body, Mind, & Spirit, even if they’ve previously had little to no success.

David continues to grow and develop as a person, experiencing some challenges along the way, but always learning and expanding his understanding. He embraces the role of a lifelong learner and uses the knowledge he has gained to assist others in their own journey towards personal growth and well-being.
