Three brothers aged 92, 94, and 96 lived together in a house together and gave each other company, but they all seemed to be losing their memory.
One night the 96 year old draws a bath, puts his foot in and pauses. He yells down the stairs, “Was I getting in or out of the bath?”
The 94 year old yells back, “I don’t know, I’ll come up and see.” He starts up the stairs and pauses, then he yells, “Was I going up the stairs or coming down?”
The 92 year old was sitting at the kitchen table having coffee listening to his brothers. He shakes his head and says, “I sure hope I never get that forgetful.” He knocks on wood for good luck. He then yells, “I’ll come up and help both of you as soon as I see who’s at the door.”

Most of us can use some help with our memory, here are five ways you can do that.

Exercise Your Body.

Engaging in physical activity stimulates blood flow and promotes connection to your whole body. Research has demonstrated that exercising before studying can improve your ability to retain information compared to not exercising at all.

Exercise Your Mind.

Don’t just exercise your body, exercise your mind. You can improve the analytical part of your brain, including your memory, by practicing a range of techniques and skills. Just as your physical abilities improve through physical exercise, your cognitive abilities benefit from exercising your mind.

Socialize.

Socializing and interacting with people can enhance your socialization skills, serving as a protective factor when facing various challenges such as depression or trauma. Having a support group can aid in memory improvement.

Organize.

When you organize your belongings, it makes it easier to recall their where they are. When you have an organized thought process, it makes for smoother transitions between ideas, making it easier to remember. Great for speeches and presentations.

Mnemonics, Etc.
