We know body, mind, and spirit are all interconnected and it’s important to keep working on all those connections. One aspect from spirituality, is maintaining our social connections. Throughout our lives, we build various relationships with family, friends, coworkers, classmates, and even gym-goers. These social connections are crucial for our overall well-being, especially as we age and face more challenging situations in life.

Recently, I had the opportunity to catch up with a close friend. We’ve talked and texted regularly, but this was our first time to catch up face to face in quite a while. Sometimes that simple act of connecting with someone in person can not only improve your mental health but also your emotional health.

Take the time to maintain these social connections, whether it’s through text messages, emails, phone calls, video calls, or in-person meetings. Reaching out to friends and family members can make a huge difference, in your life, and theirs.

Keep in mind sometimes, when we reach out, not everyone will respond back. It’s important not to take this personally and just know that sometimes life just gets in the way.

Maintaining our social connections are a vital aspect of our overall health and wellness. So, take a moment to reach out to those people who mean something to you and make an effort to maintain those connections.
