It’s important to understand that it’s never too late to start improving your health. Regardless of age, making positive changes to your lifestyle can have significant and lifetime benefits. The improvements we go over here all the time of Balancing the Triad working on your Body, Mind, & Spirit, when you do work all these areas, there’s a reduced risk of chronic diseases, improved health on all levels, enhanced longevity, and an overall better quality of life.
Each of us will have different starting points and along with whatever your own challenges, health and otherwise, have been, those make each health journey varied. Your genetics will play a small factor, though the bigger factors will be your previous health habits and lifestyle, as well as if you have any existing health conditions. Those all play a role in the amount and pace of your health improvement, regardless though, in pretty much every situation, there’s always a chance for improvement.
To stick with and to continue making these changes, your mindset will be a critical factor. Having a positive mindset with self-motivation are important aspects in making lasting changes. I went over this in more detail in “I Can” vs “I Can’t” Mindset. One gives you power, the other limits you; one you’re looking for solutions, the other you’re magnifying the problem; one you’re open to improvement and growth, the other you stay put.
It’s never too late to improve your health, and there are so many rewards in doing so. Start your journey where you’re at, use what you have available, seek out information, and hire professionals when it’s warranted for you. I’ve stated before that life is a marathon and not a sprint, so set yourself up for the long haul.
